This Privacy Policy applies to CDL–X LLC (“CDL‑X,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and governs personal information collected through our website, platform, services, and related communications from clients, candidates, job applicants, visitors, and other users (collectively, “you”).

Categories of Personal Information Collected
Identification & contact: name, email, phone, company, address & recruitment data: resumes/CVs, employment history, certifications, driver license/CDL info, qualifications, references, interview notes, candidate communications, scheduling
Sensitive candidate data (limited): SSN, criminal history, medical/fitness-for-duty info only where legally required and with explicit consent (or other lawful basis) for background checks
Technical: IP address, device identifiers, browser, logs, cookies
Support: support communications, feedback, dispute records
Perform background checks and onboarding as requested (contractual necessity and/or consent where required)
Process payments and invoices (contractual necessity)
Communicate with users (contractual necessity, legitimate interest or consent for marketing)
Maintain security, detect and prevent fraud, and ensure website integrity (legitimate interest)
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations (legal obligation)
Analyze usage, improve services, and develop features (legitimate interest)

Candidate Screening & Sensitive Data
We obtain explicit consent when collecting sensitive data required for background checks where required by law.
Background checks are performed only with candidate consent and in compliance with applicable law. Results are used solely for recruitment/placement and retained per the retention schedule.

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, performance, personalization, and advertising (where applicable).

SMS & Communications
By providing a phone number you consent to SMS for verification, alerts, support, and optional marketing. First messages include unsubscribe instructions. Reply STOP to opt out of marketing SMS; service/security messages may still be sent.
Data Sharing and Recipients We may share data with:
Service providers/processors (hosting, payroll, payment processors, background check vendors, messaging/SMS, analytics, CRM, security) under contractual obligations (DPA)
Legal/regulatory authorities when required by law, court order, or to respond to legal process

Data Transfers
Data is stored and processed in the United States. If transferred from other jurisdictions, appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual protections or SCCs where applicable) will be used.
Retention
Candidate records & background checks: retained per legal requirements and for legitimate business purposes (24–48 months as applicable); sensitive records are retained for the minimum necessary period.
Support and billing records: retained per tax and legal requirements (commonly 4–7 years).
We delete or anonymize data when no longer required.
Security
Data Subject Rights & Requests Subject to verification and applicable law, you may request:
Access to personal data, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to processing, and to opt out of marketing.
California (CCPA/CPRA) rights: disclosure of categories collected, deletion, correction, opt out of “sharing,” limitation on sensitive data use, non‑discrimination.

Minors
Our services are not directed to children under 16 (or the applicable minimum age). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If discovered, we will delete it.

Changes to Policy
We may update this Policy; material changes will be communicated by email or notice on the website. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
